SkyPoint — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 May 2025

Overview

SkyPoint is an augmented reality satellite finder. Your privacy is simple: the app collects no personal data and sends nothing to any server.

Data that stays on your device

Camera: Used solely to display the AR view. Camera images are processed on-device by ARKit and are never stored or transmitted.

Location: Your GPS coordinates and compass heading are used on-device to calculate satellite positions. Location data is never sent anywhere.

Photos: When you take a screenshot, the image is saved to your local photo library with GPS metadata. This happens entirely on your device.

Preferences: Satellite visibility settings and custom satellites are stored in local UserDefaults on your device.

Data we collect

None. SkyPoint has no analytics, no tracking, no user accounts, no cloud services, and no third-party SDKs. The app works entirely offline.

Third-party services

SkyPoint does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms.

Children's privacy

SkyPoint does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
