Open SkyPoint, allow camera and location access, and point your phone at the sky. Satellite labels will appear pinned to their real positions along the Clarke Belt arc.
This usually means the compass needs recalibrating. Tap the arrow icon in the bottom-left corner to recalibrate from the compass. For best results, move away from metal objects, vehicles, and buildings.
Check the Satellites tab and make sure the ones you want are toggled visible (eye icon). Use the menu button to quickly show all satellites or only those above the horizon from your location.
A red dot means compass accuracy is poor, usually due to magnetic interference. Try moving away from electronics, metal structures, or vehicles. You can also try the figure-8 calibration motion with your phone.
Tap the camera button to capture a screenshot. The image includes satellite labels and the Clarke Belt arc, and is saved to your Photos library with GPS metadata. UI buttons are hidden automatically for a clean capture.
Go to the Satellites tab, tap the + button, and enter the satellite name and orbital longitude. Custom satellites appear in the AR view alongside the built-in database.
Yes. All satellite position calculations run on-device. No internet connection is needed.
